About My Machine
Although it weighs 24,000 lbs. it has very low ground pressure @ 5.7 lbs. per ft. – less than a human. It has two implements a stump grinder, and a masticating head. I have redesigned both for optimum performance, durability and finished product. I am currently working on a patent for the masticating head design and features in the masticator housing. My machine boasts over 225 HP and 650 ft. lbs. of torque. I can easily take trees up to 15” DBH and work slopes to 50%, and still leave the parcel nice enough to walk on or drive through.
The purpose of the California Forest Improvement Program (CFIP) program is to encourage private and public investment in, and improved management of, California forest lands and resources. This focus is to ensure adequate high-quality timber supplies, related employment and other economic benefits, and the protection, maintenance, and enhancement of a productive and stable forest resource system for the benefit of present and future generations.
The program scope includes the improvement of all forest resources, including fish and wildlife habitat, soil, and water quality. The program provides technical assistance to private forest landowners, forest operators, wood processors, and public agencies. Cost share assistance is provided to private forest landowners, Resource Conservation Districts, and non-profit watershed groups. Cost-shared activities include management planning, site preparation, tree purchase and planting, timber stand improvement, fish and wildlife habitat improvement, and land conservation practices for ownership's containing up to 5,000 acres of forest land.

The Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) is a voluntary program that provides financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers through contracts up to a maximum term of ten years in length. These contracts provide financial assistance to help plan and implement conservation practices that address natural resource concerns and for opportunities to improve soil, water, plant, animal, air and related resources on agricultural land and non-industrial private forestland. In addition, a purpose of EQIP is to help producers meet Federal, State, Tribal and local environmental regulations.
